This history of the life of Lemuel Whittlesey was written by Natalie Iafolla who is nine generations removed from Eliphalet Whittlesey, #42 in the 1992 W-W Genealogy. Martin, along with his brothers Lemuel, Abner, Asaph and his sister Anna has been the subject of her historical reviews of their lives. Martin remained in Connecticut throughout his life and this document provides an excellent exposure to the lives of these early families. He was among the early settlers in Washington, Litchfield, Connecticut.
